The golf course at Heron Creek provides a unique
and extraordinary golfing experience in Southwest
Florida. Designed by famed architect Arthur Hills,
Heron Creek is a superb, natural design that not
only preserves, but enhances its natural surroundings.
Highlighting the unique features of the landscape
and native plants, Heron Creek’s championship-length
course has rolling hills, large stands of oak,
pine and palmetto, spectacular water features and
many native birds, including its namesake, the
Heron.
Elevated tees assist the golfer with shot placement,
and the sloping greens are meticulously maintained.
The Oaks Course par-5 first hole plays on one of
the highest ‘hills’ in Southwest Florida.
The course design challenges golfers at every skill
level, but without intimidation. Heron Creek has
the variety, beauty, and course conditioning that
will make yuou want to play it again . . . and
again.
The Heron Creek Gold Course is a breathtaking
18-hole Arthur Hill designed course. The fairways
are extremely sloped and dotted with huge sand
traps on several holes. On almost every fairway
shot you’ll be either standing uphill, or
downhill, so make sure you’re balanced before
you hack away. Numerous sand bunkers stand in the
way of approach shots on nearly every hole. Your
sand wedge here is most likely going to be your
most used club at Heron Creek.
